Checking out Israel Trails

Share options

Trail Running is starting to pick up in Israel. Slowly but surely.

In the meantime, I used the excuse of my need to train for my coming up race (I am still not really ready, but it will be what it will be) in Gran Canaria, to start checking out what’s available here.

I was quite skeptical. Israel doesn’t exactly have something like the alps, there is one mountain on which we can do some skiing.

But when I started looking into things, I was amazed and realized – Israel Got Trail!
Yes, indeed. And immediately I started thinking how I’m going to show off some of this amazing staff.

So here we go, I’ll start with the latest video, which has a mix of a number of my recent training-trails here – Yehuda Desert (just on top of the dead sea), Manara cliff in the north, and another northern trail through an awesome lake with freeze-temperature water coming up to the ancient Nimrod Fortress.

And following this, a little video I made from a little run before all of that, tagging along a group in the Jerusalem Mountains.
